SCIENCE OLYMPIAD

Mid Michigan Community College
Harrison, Michigan

Every spring, teams of middle and high school students convene at MidMichigan Community College in Harrison to compete in Science Olympiad. The main goal of this event is to improve the quality of science education and increase student interest in science. Another goal is to promote teamwork and problem solving among the participants. Teams compete in a variety of events related to science, engineering, and technology. Event titles include: “Don't Bug Me”, “Science Crime Busters”,  “Simple Machines (Magnify Your Strength)",  and "Reach for the Stars". At the conclusion of the competition, participants gather to celebrate and recognize the outstanding teams who receive certificates and medals.
